He ended his set with a charming song referencing Pepper Boy, among other things.
His speech also included a great deep cut reference to Sandler pal Peter Dante.
Sandler’s wife Jackie also paid tribute to her husband, describing their first date and romance.
And how he’s as great in bed as everyone can imagine.
“Family comes first, that’s definitely our way,” she concluded.
He also told a fun story about the real-life origins of his character in50 First Dates.
The Sandman himself held court after preemptively apologizing for the length of his speech.
“Terrific,” his father would say.
