He followed that up with a score for 1974’sLaw and Disorder.
Badalamenti also appears inBlue Velvetas the piano player in the club where Rossellini’s character performs.
1, which also features the talents of Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern.
He also had another memorable screen role inMulholland Driveas Lynch’s espresso-obsessed gangster Luigi Castigliane.
One of his final projects was collaborating with Lynch on the score for the 2017 continuation ofTwin Peaks.
