Leitch had previously directedDeadpool 2, which starred Reynolds as the titular katana-wielding Merc with a Mouth.

As we gather, he’s kind of a dick, but we don’t see his face.
He’s the assassin Ladybug is subbing for on this bullet-train mission that goes off the rails.
Reynolds had only one stipulation before agreeing to do the cameo: brevity.
“He said, ‘As long as it’s the same length as Brad’s Vanisher cameo.'”
Pitt appeared ever so briefly inDeadpool 2as Vanisher, the invisible mutant Deadpool hires to join X-Force.
Along with many members of the team, Vanisher dies after they jump out of a plane.
He gets tangled in some electrical cables and is shocked to death.
The jolts make him visible for just a flash, showing him to be played by Pitt.
“I don’t know if I held up to my end of the bargain,” adds Leitch.
“Ours might be a few frames longer.”
