“I was so lost,” he said.

“And I was addicted to cocaine, that was the other thing…

I severed my Achilles tendon right after I got fired-slash-quitAlias.”

Cooper credits this aspect of his life to hitting rock bottom before he really achieved his fame.

“I did have the benefit of that happening when I was 29,” Cooper explained.

In terms of the made-it thing, that’s when I made it.

I was totally depressed.

It wasn’t really untilThe Hangover.

So all that happened before any of that."

Arnett agreed with Cooper, saying, “You went through this metamorphosis beforeThe Hangover.

Cooper reiterated that the inciting incident that prompted this metamorphosis was all courtesy of Arnett.
