I really had put this to bed emotionally; I didn’t think that this was going to happen.
I literally don’t have the words to describe it.
I feel incredibly grateful.
I can’t wait to start back in and tell more of this amazing character’s story.”
I didn’t take too long to think about that.
And he said at the time that they wanted to put me inSpider-Manand inShe-Hulk.
I had to wait six months before we even got to shootSpider-Man, and then we shotShe-Hulkshortly after that.
What was your reaction when you learned you weren’t done playing this character after so many years?
He was always like, “I’m sure they’re going to call us.
I’m sure we’re going to do something.
I bet you they’re going to do something again.”
There’s no way.
Too much time has passed.
He needs to let go.
[Laughs] And lo and behold, I was the wrong one.
It should be and it is always the same character.
I certainly had a really good time exploring that, experimenting with it and seeing if it fit.
And also just working with Tatiana [Maslany onShe-Hulk] was such a joy.
She’s an incredible performer.
What did you think of how Matt and Jen started this new, bicoastal relationship?
Do you think we’ll get to see it continue in the future in any way?
I have no idea.
I hate to speculate, all I know is that it was really fun to do.
I would be a huge supporter of She-Hulk making an appearance in our show, if that’s possible.
I don’t know if it is, I should be clear about that.
How did your appearances onShe-HulkandSpider-Man: No Way Homeprepare you for your upcoming Disney+ series?
What are you most excited to explore with this character moving forward inDaredevil: Born Again?
There has to be a reason why this character has been chosen.
It’s such a huge task.
