Jennifer Aniston on how she dealt withFriendsending: 'I got a divorce and went into therapy'

AsEllen DeGeneresbidfarewell to her namesake talk showon Thursday after 19 seasons, she turned toJennifer Anistonfor advice.

As it turns out, she closed a few more doors on the way out.

“Then I did a movie calledThe Breakup.

I just kind of leaned into the end.

I was like, ‘You know what, guys?

Let’s just make this a completely new chapter.

Let’s end everything and start new.'”

Aniston and Brad Pitt famously announced their divorce in January 2005, after nearly five years of marriage.

“It worked great,” Aniston said with a deep sigh.

“I don’t know where the welcome mat went.”
