Losing it, however, was an entirely different experience.

“There’s obvious life lessons there.
Let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work,' you know?”
Instead, Bacon said he and his wife tried to put their undisclosed financial loss into perspective.
“We’ve made it this far.
Our kids are healthy.
We’re healthy,” he shared.
“Let’s look at what we have that’s good.”
“Old people, people whose retirement funds were completely decimated.
There’s always gonna be somebody that’s gonna have it a lot worse than you.”
“Whatever the cliches… Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” Bacon continued.
“We just rolled up our sleeves.”
“It’s a complicated thing to explain,” he said.
