Dandelion has officially been weeded out of the competition.
The delicate plant was the first contestant to go home during tonight’s space-themed episode ofThe Masked Singer.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Why did you decide to doThe Masked Singer?
I was immediately so excited about the opportunity.
And I felt like this could be one of the best experiences of my life.

That’s what I love about singing and about creating songs.
And it was everything I imagined it would be.
Truly one of the most emotional experiences that I can remember having in my whole life.
I know that that’s a lot to say.
You have anew song and video, “Witness,“out today.
What can you tell me about that?
This song is very personal.
And also that you’re kind of asking them to remind you what you came through in the future.
That’s very exciting.
But I’m really so emotional to even think about it.
It was deeply meaningful for me.
And I think it’s forever changed perhaps the way I’ll sing for people from now on.
In your clue package, you said you learned that there’s always sunshine after the rain.
What else do you feel like you learned from everything?
There’s a long list.
I mean, the fact that my home was hit by a tornado in 2020.
That was obviously an incredibly terrifying experience.
And my whole neighborhood was deeply affected by it.
My neighbors were also out of their homes.
I couldn’t believe it hadn’t been done before.
I would say having come through this, the challenges that might have been public… Because without question, that movie was also one of my favorite professional experiences.
You’re referring toLonglegs, the upcoming film with Nicolas Cage?
So I had these two things that were coming simultaneously.
And that’s the final stage of that chapter.
I think I was eating my breakfast and I was like, “Did I dream that?
Or did I actually have an email fromThe Masked Singer?”
And I’m really grateful to be having this experience and sharing it on such a wide scale.
