Tony and I loved that ship.
For kids, what wasn’t to love?
We wandered around for hours on our own, occasionally sneaking into the first class section.

CNN
There was a gym, equipped with punching bags and rowing machines.
One of those professions that’s been lost to time, like Pullman porters.
And the butter, that amazing French butter.

At age seven, I loved the oh-so-British Paddington books.
I still have every one of them, and I love them still.
But most of all, we loved the food.
Perfection, as were the french fries the best we had ever tasted.
Why couldn’t we get these simple, wonderful things in the United States?
This is where it all started.
