He was also the warm-up comedian forSaturday Night Liveand appeared on the show between 1975 and 1980.

“She always had some rationale for hitting us,” Belzer said.

“My kitchen was the toughest room I ever worked.

I had to make my mom laugh or I’d get my ass kicked.”

He made his final appearance in the series in 2016.
