Host Trevor Noah is set to depart the show on Dec. 8 after seven years.
Noah, who replaced Stewart in 2015, announced his departure on a September episode of the show.

It’s been one of my greatest challenges.
It’s been one of my greatest joys.”
“You know, we’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together.
But after seven years, I feel like it’s time.”
He cited the desire to get back out on the road and return to his standup comedy roots.
“I miss learning other languages.
I miss going to other countries and putting on shows.
I miss just being everywhere, doing everything.”
