After a major reshuffling of Disney’s release schedule, Saldana remains committed to the 26-year journey.

“Great,” Saldana wrote in her Instagram stories, alongside a screenshot of the news.
“I’m gonna be 53 when the lastAvatarcomes out.
I was 27 when I shot the very firstAvatar.”
If theAvatarmovies stay the course of this slate, then the franchise will conclude after a whopping 26-year journey.
DirectorJames Cameronwill be 77 when the finalAvatarmovie hits theaters.
On the bright side, the young actors portraying their children won’t have aged as dramatically.
Cameronpreviously told EWthat he took precautions to avoid what he calls “theStranger Thingseffect.”
“Otherwise, you get and I loveStranger Things but you get theStranger Thingseffect,” Cameron explained.

But following its release, the much-anticipated sequel crossed milestone after milestone, eventually becoming thethird-highest-grossing movieof all time.
